The Governing Body is seeking to appoint, with effect from 1st September 2024, an outstanding, motivated and inspirational individual to lead, manage and develop the curriculum and student development in our History department.  The post holder will be responsible for the staff line management of the History department whilst leading, developing and taking responsibility for the performance of the department staff. The Humanities faculty is a lively and innovative place to be, with a team of enthusiastic and committed teachers.  This is a great opportunity for an exceptional and dynamic lead practitioner to play a pivotal role in a high-performing department.

The successful candidate will share our passion for education and demonstrate strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills.  He or she will be clearly in tune with our values and our ethos of “children first” and be totally committed to providing a deep and rewarding experience in History for all our students regardless of their academic ability.

Unqualified Teacher Payscale UQ1: £20,598

We are seeking to employ a Cover Supervisor to supervise a range of classes in the short-term planned or unplanned absence of teachers, ensuring positive behaviour and engagement of students in lessons.

The Cover Supervisor will be clearly in tune with our values and our ethos of “children first” and will set high expectations and be a positive role model for students.  The successful candidate will be required to deliver set cover work to students, respond to students’ general questions, manage student behaviour to ensure a constructive learning environment and give feedback to the teacher on broad issues such as behaviour and progress and achievement within a lesson.
