Midday Supervisor

Start date: January 2025

The Governors of Stramongate School wish to appoint a Midday Supervisor, to become part of our hardworking team supervising lunchtime and ensure the safety of our pupils both indoors and outdoors. Candidates should enjoy being part of a team and working with children, promoting healthy eating and encouraging good behaviour at all times.

Pay Scale: PCD3 £24,027(A) pro-rata 4 hours per week Tuesday to Friday (FTE 37hpw) hourly rate £12.60 (plus Living Wage uplift) 

The successful candidates will be available to work for 1 hour per day, Tuesday to Friday during term time as well as on INSET days. This role is permanent, subject to satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.

Literacy Tutor and Librarian

Required start: January 2025 or sooner by agreement 

Contract: Permanent, Part Time 30 hours per week, Term Time Only + 1 week (39 working weeks)

The successful candidate will be a confident individual who can work alongside children to successfully deliver a reading intervention package, play an integral part in every child’s reading journey and be accountable for the progress children make with reading.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Literacy, the English Department and the SENDCo.  Experience in this field would be beneficial, but is not necessarily essential.

They must be open to change, should work well as part of a committed team and must be able to cope with the various demands of working in a busy secondary school. In addition, the successful candidate should be willing and prepared to develop their skills through ongoing  professional learning.
